Kay’s Pasta and Sausage
Looking for a quick and easy meal? This one is so simple to make and I just threw this together last minute for dinner this week and Jake approved! Hope you and your family like it too! Plus you can find most of these ingredients at the stand.
Ingredients:
1 bag of Bozza Campanella Pasta from Kay’s FarmStand
1 package of Stoltzfus Italian Sausage from Kay’s FarmStand
I jar of Guglielmo Rosa Pasta Sauce ( Or Marinara) from Kay’s FarmStand
1/2 cup of Yellow Onion from Kay’s FarmStand
1 diced Bell Pepper (fingers cross fresh peppers soon!)
Directions:
In a stock pot boil water for pasta
On a cutting board cut up your onions, peppers, and Italian sausage and set aside
In a frying pan, put some butter or Daisy Tallow Cooking Tallow in and throw in your cut up Italian Sausage and let cook for a few minutes
After a few minutes, put in the pan the peppers and onions and let that cook until the sausage is cooked thoroughly
Once the water is boiling, put the pasta in and cook pasta as directed on the package
Once pasta is cooked, drain water and put pasta back in pot.
Pour the sausage, pepper, and onions into the pot with the noodles and stir.
Turn on low heat and pour the jar of sauce in. Mix all together and cook for a few minutes.
Turn off heat and let cool.
Enjoy with some parmesan cheese!
*Feel free to use our homegrown ground beef instead!
